What "light demolition" means
Small structures, not structural work
Light demolition covers small, freestanding backyard structures and features — nothing load-bearing, nothing that needs an engineer or a building permit for a full teardown. If it's a shed, a deck, a fence line, a hot tub, or a playset that's outlived its usefulness, that's exactly what we handle.
Garages, additions, and full structural demolition are a different category that requires a licensed demolition contractor with permits and engineering sign-off — that's not us. If your project is that scale, we're glad to haul debris once the structural work is done.

The process
How a light demolition job works
Send photos and rough dimensions of the structure — that's usually enough for a firm price.
If a permit applies in your city or HOA, confirm it's handled before we schedule — we're happy to work around that timeline.
Our crew tears the structure down on-site and loads the debris directly — no separate hauling trip.
We do a basic sweep-up of the area and haul the debris to the appropriate disposal or recycling destination.
What we don't demolish
Garages, additions, in-ground pools, and any structural or load-bearing work — anything that needs a permit and engineering sign-off for the demolition itself requires a licensed demolition contractor, not a junk removal crew.
Asbestos or suspected asbestos, and any structure where hazardous material is a concern, also fall outside what we handle — let us know ahead of time if that's a possibility so we can point you to the right resource.
Pricing
Priced by trailer space, plus teardown labor
The same transparent pricing as every job we do — based on how much of our 14' x 7' x 4' trailer the debris fills, with up to 1 hour of labor included.

If your project falls into that category, we're not the right fit for the teardown itself, though we're glad to haul debris once it's down.
Can you remove a hot tub or spa?
Yes — hot tub and spa removal is one of the most common light demolition jobs we do. We break it down on-site since most won't fit through a gate or doorway intact, then haul away every piece.
